mezzo-soprano, piano, and English horn… huh, that’s all?! You bet!
Founded in 2020, trio nushka allows these three instruments to merge into their own sound world, aiming directly at the hearts of the audience.
Lara Morger (mezzo-soprano), Lisa Anna Gross (English horn), and Marion Gross (piano) create imaginative concert atmospheres in which the focus is on dialogue—with each other, with the audience, and with often unknown works. Through their sensitive and agile music-making, they lead the audience from the most intimate whispers to expressive shouts, through the whole spectrum of emotions, inviting you to experience the music together with them. Their repertoire stretches from Romanticism to the present day, venturing through winding paths off the beaten track and letting forgotten works be heard again in new arrangements.
The three young musicians share a long musical history—they have been making music together in a variety of ensembles and line-ups since childhood. Trio nushka is a project close to their hearts, with the goal of playing favorite music on favorite instruments with favorite people and sharing it with the audience.
Mezzo-soprano Lara Morger is currently studying in the Masters program of the Hochschule der Künste Bern with Tanja Ariane Baumgartner, and can be heard regularly as a concert and opera singer in Spain, Germany, and Switzerland.
Lisa Anna Gross graduated with honors from the Conservatoire Supérieur National de Musique et de Danse de Paris; she plays English horn in the Aarhus Symfoniorkester in Denmark and organizes the chamber music series “Musik im Morgental” in Zurich with Chiara Enderle.
Marion Gross studies piano with Patricia Pagny in the Bachelor program of the Hochschule der Künste in Bern.
